Hewlett-Packard (HP) has received a license from the China government for the manufacture and sale of its own-brand handsets in China, the China-based website ccidnet.com quoted sources at HP China as saying. The last time HP launched a smartphone in China was in late 2005 when the company marketed the hw6515 smartphone in cooperation with China-based Digital China, ccidnet.com reported.
