The Samsung i400 is a slider that perfectly fits the winter months. Designed in a chique silver with black variant or a sweet red christmas ball colour, the Samsung i400 is ready for its launch in the shops. However, the Samsung i400 is not purely made out of design perspective, the device is namely quite big on the area of functions.

First of all, the Samsung i400 operates on the Symbian system, which not only makes sure that the device is very stable but als offers many functions. The Symbian system makes it possible to receive and view Microsoft Office files and besides this, the dynamic system is expandable with your own favourite programs. This extensive picture is put in a compact and stylish form that everyone can show off with.

The front of the Samsung i400 offers several quick keys. One of these quick keys offer direct admittance to the menu and the musicplayer. Furthermore, a regular and userfriendly five-way navigation key is present.

At the left side of the slider we can find two quick keys. One of these offers access to the gallery, where the other quick key functions as camera key. The keys have a nice finish and are adapted to the design of the Samsung i400, due to which they are inconspicuous.

The right side of the Samsung i400 offers more quick keys, which are of course nicely finished as we are used to with Samsung. At this side, the user can adjust the volume of the device to his wishes and we can also find the port for both the charger and the headset here. The sound of the Samsung i400 has not changed, unfortunately. Due to this, the soft sound is difficult to hear and it will often occur that you will not notice that you are being called when the device is stored into a purse or pocket.



The keyboard of the Samsung i400 is totally in style. The super sweet red colour that we see at the sides of the device is also found back at this place. With the silver and black variant they keyboard is also coloured stylishly. The keys are big and feel comfortable and the SMS freaks will be able to type away with it.



The Samsung i400 will be placed in the middle section of the market, which means that the functions will add up to this. The device has a 40 MB internal memory, which is not much at first sight but is expandable with MicroSD and TransFlash memorycards. Besides this, the slider is equipped with an average 2 megapixel camera with extra functions as a selftimer and digital zoom. However, it does not end wit this; the Samsung i400 is namely also equipped with UMTS, HSDPA en WCDMA support. Due to this it will be possible to reach the internet and e-mail on high speed and selfmade photos can be e-mailed and uploaded.

The menu of the Samsung i400 is clearly visible on the 262.000 colours TFT display. The influence of the Symbian system is also noticable here. At this point the user has direct access to the important functions, such as the media, settings, the log, the profiles, the internet and the connectivity.

The Samsung i400 will reach the market within a short time, so just in time for the christmas shoppings. The salesprices of the slider are not available yet, but it is possible to view the full specifications of the device.
