Ericsson’s Board of Directors proposes that the Annual General Meeting April 9, 2008 resolves on a reverse split 1:5, implying that five A shares and five B shares respectively will be consolidated into one A share and one B share respectively.
As a result of the rights issue in 2002, the number of shares in the company increased from approximately 8 billion shares to more than 16 billion shares. Further, the ratio between the B share and an American Depositary Share (ADS), traded on NASDAQ, was changed from 1:1 to 10:1. In connection with the reverse split, the ratio will be changed back to 1:1.

Motorola, announced Paul J. Liska has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) of Motorola, effective March 1, 2008. Mr. Liska will report directly to Greg Brown, president and chief executive officer. Tom Meredith, the company’s acting CFO will continue as a non-management board member and will work closely with Mr. Liska to ensure a smooth transition.
Brown stated, “Since appointing Tom Meredith as acting CFO, we have undertaken a thorough search process to identify candidates with financial, operational and strategic experience. We are fortunate that Paul has such a broad set of general management and CFO experience. LAS VEGAS (IWCE, Booth #1400) – 21 February 2008 – Motorola today introduced several new products from its MOTOA4™, wireless broadband and professional two-way radio portfolios designed to improve communications for public safety, commercial and business customers.
New products making their debut include the PM1200™ Mobile Two-Way Radio, CP110™ Portable Two-Way Radio, Motorola Bluetooth® Wireless Adapter, and the DigitalPatroller® DP-2 In-Vehicle Video System. The 2800-square-foot store is the first within a 100-mile radius to showcase a new and highly interactive retail concept that is a departure from Verizon Wireless’ traditional retail store design. Customers can pick up and try more than 80 functioning wireless phones and experience on-demand access to more than 2.7 million downloadable songs; cutting-edge 3D games; and short news, weather, sports and entertainment video clips. The store also features interactive television screens, accessories such as Bluetooth headsets, as well as wireless cards and modems for laptops.

BASKING RIDGE, N.J. - Pasadena City College students and faculty will be able to tap the power of converged voice-over-Internet protocol (VoIP) communications and wireless Internet access under a two-year, $6.7 million agreement.
