The resort is incorporating enhanced communication technology during its construction phase to ensure that guests and employees receive optimum levels of service.

Sprint’s Converged Network Solutions (CNS) team will deliver a universal communications system for M Resort, allowing integrated access to wireless voice and data services, mobile phones, BlackBerry devices, PDAs and laptops throughout the resort. “The M Resort management team has been working with Sprint and MobileAccess for some time to develop the right program to fit our property needs. We look forward to continuing this rewarding partnership,” said Joseph A. Magliarditi, chief operating officer and executive vice president of M Resort.

NokiaNokia today unveiled a trio of mobile devices that balance stunning and sophisticated looks with the latest in mobile functionality. All three devices, the Nokia 6600 fold, the Nokia 6600 slide and the Nokia 3600 slide present a smooth, minimalist design and an appealing array of easy-to-use features. The devices range in price from 175 EUR to 275 EUR before taxes and subsidies and are expected to start shipping during the third quarter of 2008.

verizonVerizon Wireless today began accepting registrations for the first annual Mobile Convergence Technology Summit, co-sponsored by Alcatel-Lucent and scheduled for May 6, 2008, at New World Stages, 340 West 50th Street in Manhattan.

The summit, which begins with registration at 9 a.m. and closes with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m., is designed to educate business customers to the benefits and advantages of taking their wireless devices beyond simple e-mail management. Alcatel-LucentDISH Network Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH) and Alcatel-Lucent today announced that DISH Network will test the DVB-SH (Digital Video Broadcasting – Satellite services to Handhelds) mobile broadcast technology in the United States, with the appropriate DVB-SH equipment, test tools and training provided by Alcatel-Lucent. This evaluation will take place in DISH Network’s laboratories in Atlanta, Ga. from May to August 2008, with the ultimate objective to validate the performance and cost-efficiency of the DVB-SH standard.

DVB-SH is an evolution of DVB-H and a powerful mobile broadcast standard allowing cost-effective mobile TV deployments. It can be used in any frequency spectrum below 3GHz, including UHF, L band and S band, and in terrestrial, satellite or hybrid networks. The DVB-SH waveform definition was published by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute(ETSI) in March 2008.

The special edition Sandero Nokia will be the first Renault model produced in Brazil to come equipped with Nokia’s complete mobility solution, including device, services & software and original accessories. The package includes the flagship multimedia computer, the Nokia N95, with an integrated Global Positioning System (GPS), pre-loaded Nokia Maps service, Bluetooth connection and a wide range of media solutions as well as music player, large screen and high-end camera. It also brings the Nokia LD-3W GPS module and is integrated with the Nokia CK-20W, an automobile accessories kit.

Sandero Nokia is the first compact vehicle in the Brazilian market to come factory-equipped with GPS. Created from the most inclusive version of Sandero’s family of automobiles, Privilège 1.6 16V Hi-Flex, the special series Sandero Nokia has a suggested retail price including shipping of EUR 17,650. Only 1,000 units will be manufactured.

Motorola Ships One Millionth Digital Set-Top Box to ONO

MotorolaMotorola today celebrated shipping its one millionth digital cable set-top box (STB) to Spanish cable provider ONO. To mark the milestone, Motorola designed a silver STB which was presented to ONO’s chief executive officer Richard Alden during the Cable Congress 2008 in Madrid, Spain.
