Alcatel-LucentAlcatel-Lucent today announced that the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise communications server has been selected by Siam City Bank (SCIB) to provide its customers with faster, more efficient service.

The new solution includes the deployment of IP telephony media gateways to replace the traditional key telephone systems across all of SCIB’s 387 nationwide branches, linking them to its Bangkok-based headquarters. SCIB customers will experience universal banking services across all its branches, while SCIB benefits from lower operating costs with an IP-based system.


“Implementing Alcatel-Lucent’s enterprise technology and solutions has allowed us to offer better service to our customers and helped enhance our operational efficiency. This is an important edge to have in the very competitive banking industry,” said Mr. Rungsimont Pongsamart, Vice President, IT Operation at SCIB.
