BSH Bosch and Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH (BSH), one of the world’s leading producers of household appliances, has renewed its global networking agreement with AT&T*. AT&T will operate and monitor an efficient, highly-available wide area network (WAN) for BSH with more than 800 network nodes throughout the world. This will link BSH’s data centres, production sites and distribution centres in 25 countries spread throughout Europe, USA, Latin America and Asia. The agreement will run for three years and is worth $10.4 million. AT&T has been providing the WAN solution for BSH since 2004.
“The reliability and the performance of our global network are fundamentally important for the heartbeat of the firm, as the business processes of BSH are being carried through business platforms in a highly consolidated manner. The wide-reaching network must deliver a service of uniform quality for business-critical applications in all regions. We were pleased with the services of the AT&T Business Solutions over the last few years and are happy to be able to continue the valued partnership in the coming years,” said Dr. Jürgen Sturm, BIO BSH. “The company is a reliable provider with comprehensive experience and competence as well as a globally equipped service organisation. There are possible areas for an expansion of the cooperation through BSH’s further regional growth.”
“A worldwide integrated network with uniform service standards is critical for the business of global players like BSH. With AT&T WAN we offer BSH a solid platform that enables the company to communicate faster and more efficiently,” said Joachim Kathmann, Vice President of AT&T in Germany and Central Europe.
