AT&TAT&T will use social media to bring people an inside-view of this year’s Fortune Brainstorm: TECH conference. The conference, being held July 22 – July 24, will focus on how technology companies, content creators and other institutions can thrive in a recession, and help lead the way to a new era of global prosperity.


AT&T will bring real-time updates to the Web from the conference with Twitter™ posts and video interviews. Between noon PST Wednesday and noon PST Friday, AT&T will provide updates and insights through the following channels:

  • On Twitter, event session updates and other general information will be posted to @ATTNews, @BizSolutions, @SmallBizInsite and @ShareATT.
  • Additional updates and information will be posted to www.facebook.com/att and www.att.com/newsroom.
  • Video from the event will be posted at www.att.com/fortuneconference.
  • AT&T will offer customers an SMS short code to access interviews from the conference. By texting TECH to 41234, customers can receive alerts from the event when interviews of Fortune Tech speakers are available online.
  • A global conversation map will be set up on-site at the conference with a mash-up that pulls in real-time Tweets related to the themes and discussions taking place at the event.
  • In addition, AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson will participate in a panel discussion, hosted by Fortune’s Stephanie Mehta, about the new ways media, tech and telecom companies are collaborating and colliding. The session will be held Thursday, July 23.
