AT&T Launches the GPS-Enabled Blackberry Pearl 8110 Smartphone

AT&TAT&T and Research In Motion today announced the launch of the BlackBerry® Pearl™ 8110 smartphone, which includes built-in global positioning system (GPS) support for location-based applications and services. Combined with navigation and mapping applications such as AT&T Navigator, the handset provides turn-by-turn voice and on-screen directions with colorful 3-D moving maps that can be used in vehicles or while walking. AT&T Navigator also alerts users through voice and on-screen prompts to traffic slowdowns and incidents along their programmed travel route, and it provides customers with the option to choose an alternative route.

Research In MotionTelecommunications company BITĖ Lietuva in cooperation with Vodafone and Research In Motion (RIM) today announced the launch of the BlackBerry wireless solution in Lithuania.

The BlackBerry solution is renowned for its secure push-based wireless access to email and other applications. When an email arrives at the user’s account, the message is automatically delivered to the BlackBerry smartphone. Vodafone’s entire portfolio leaks out

Tomorrow the Consumer Electronics Show will take place in the American Las Vegas, an event that the main manufacturers like to use in order to launch some new devices. Just before the CES is about to start, the employees of The Boy Genius Report have managed to get their hands on Vodafone’s portfolio. This portfolio consists out of a lot of devices, from BlackBerry to Nokia, that are not announced yet. Besides the leaking out of the device themselvers, the specifications of the devices also leaked out, with which a clear view of all new things for 2008 is received.
