And surprisingly not due to it being on the French network. It’s called that because of the extreme amount of bright orange used on this slider phone.

Sadly though it will never see the light of day stateside, its headed only to Korea’s KTF network and will cost you the equivalent of about $372 USD. Oh, in case you were wondering, there is no T-DMB in this phone.

The update is available immediately, but you’ll have to head down to your local Verizon store to get the goods. Check out the full rundown below.
LG’s KS20 Windows Mobile 6 Professional smartphone (see our previous review here) caught some attraction since it is a stylish Prada phone look-alike Windows Mobile Pocket PC phone, featuring GSM/HSDPA, Bluetooth and Wifi. And wow, as the FCC recently unveiled, it looks like LG is cooking a U.S. version with adopted support for North American frequencies as well. According to the FCC, GSM/EDGE at 850/1900 MHz is confirmed as well as Bluetooth and the user manual also mentions WiFi. However, neither tested/certified nor confirmed is UMTS or HSDPA, even if this is one of the highlights of the European version.
When I first spotted LG MS25/MS20 full touchscreen smartphone at FCC, I thought it’s just plain old LG KS20 with FCC acronyms mixed up. It’s because of the looks. In pictures LG MS25 looks exactly like LG KS20 and the test model even uses the KS20 like case from Vodafone.
But the deeper look the documents on FCC site shows that LG MS25/MS20 is actually a different phone, designed specifically for the U.S. market.

Then there’s the radio frequencies/services that LG MS25 smartphone has been tested and approved for by FCC. They are GSM850, PCS1900, EDGE and Bluetooth. And GSM850/PCS1900 are exactly the bands that AT&T wireless is using.
Users manual also says that LG MS25 supports UMTS, GSM 900/1800 and Wi-Fi connectivity, but there’s no info in FCC documents that the phone has been tested or approved for them.
Other LG MS25 specs include:
The information about LG MS25 is pretty incomplete for now, but it’s certainly a different phone from LG KS20. Actually LG MS25 is more closer to LG Viewty KU990 in both display and overall size. And, most likely, LG MS25 is made for AT&T Wireless network in U.S.
I think, there are some kinks like 3G and (maybe, if AT&T opts for it) Wi-Fi connectivity certification being worked out now and we should see the announcement of this handset in the beginning of next year. Probably during CES.

With Bluetooth headsets gaining in popularity everyday, cellphone vendors are trying to think of new ways to make them even more comfortable to use. We’ve seen one such interesting attempt from Samsung - with removable Bluetooth headset attached to the phone.
Now it’s LG’s turn to reveal something cool in headsets. And they have come up with removable acoustic transducers.

When attached to the phone, they act as traditional speakers and microphone. Their batteries are charged there as well.
LG strongly targets the Asian market, as it took part in the GSMA Mobile Asia Congress 2007, from November 12 through 15. The company took advantage of this occasion to present its latest high-end devices and also bring them out on a new market.
Among the most impressive attractions, there can also be found the LG Viewty KU990, LG KS20 and the Shine family in a wide range of color variations. The two devices have been announced for some time now and are also targeted towards the European market, although a release in Asia could work out just as well.
