Nokia and Informatica Corporation announced that Informatica, the leading independent provider of data integration software, has completed the acquisition of Identity Systems, which was initially announced on April 17, 2008. With this acquisition, Informatica will assume full ownership of Identity Systems, effective from May 15, 2008. Identity Systems is a global leader in enterprise software development for identity resolution, providing fast, highly accurate and scalable solutions to profile, cleanse, group, match and consolidate data within computer systems and network databases.

Nokia has today signed an agreement with a newly formed company named novero GmbH on the divestment of Nokia’s line fit automotive business. novero is owned by Razvan Olosu, the former head of Nokia’s Enhancements unit, and Equity Partners GmbH, a German private equity firm that focuses on the acquisitions of companies in the lower mid-market in Germany.
The transaction would enable continuance of the employment for approximately 240 employees of the line fit automotive business in Bochum, Düsseldorf and Detroit. The parties anticipate closing the transaction in June 2008. However, the closing of the transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.

When Eduardo Cachucho, a 23 year old architecture student, entered the 2008 Nokia Mobile Filmmaking Awards, he had no idea his film would be seen by millions of people around the world. Cachucho shot the winning mobile short film “The Game” in his home base in South Africa.
“It was a huge surprise for me to win this awards. I couldn’t believe it was me when the winner was announced at the broadcast, “ says Cachucho. “With my film, I wanted to tell the world that children are children everywhere, no matter where they live, what their race is, or whether they are rich or poor. Children are the same all over and want to have fun and play.”
The Annual General Meeting of Nokia Corporation held on May 8, 2008 (AGM) resolved to distribute a dividend of EUR 0.53 per share for 2007. The dividend ex-date is May 9, 2008 and the record date May 13, 2008. The dividend will be paid on or around May 27, 2008.
Board and Committee members elected
The AGM resolved to elect ten members to the Board. The following members of the Nokia Board were re-elected for a term until the close of the Annual General Meeting in 2009: Georg Ehrnrooth, Lalita D. Gupte, Dr. Bengt Holmström, Dr. Henning Kagermann, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, Per Karlsson, Jorma Ollila, Dame Marjorie Scardino and Keijo Suila. Risto Siilasmaa was elected as a new member to the Nokia Board of Directors for the same term.
Nokia and Ikivo, a leading supplier of rich media application enabling solutions based on open standards, today announced the joint creation of a complete tool chain that simplifies and allows efficient collaboration between graphic designers and software engineers in the development of Java applications for mobile devices.
The new tool set integrates Nokia’s Platform SDKs for Java, Adobe Illustrator, Ikivo Animator and Sun’s NetBeans to enable user interface designers to add their GUI designs directly to an application project and avoid the time-consuming process of “translating” those designs into Java code. T-Mobile and Nokia today announced that they are collaborating to accelerate the availability of new Internet services and personal social communities on mobile devices.
By signing this collaboration agreement, T-Mobile and Nokia will be able to offer their European customers faster and easier access to all of T-Mobile’s web’n'walk Internet services as well as all to Nokia’s Ovi Internet services on a wide range of Nokia devices.
T-Mobile and Nokia will together drive the mobilization of social networks. The companies will partner to further enhance T-Mobile’s community-oriented MyFaves service, launched in October 2007 in Europe, empowered by the well-known Nokia user experience.
Cisco and Nokia today announced growing customer and partner acceptance of their combined mobile unified communications solution. The Mobile Business Solution from Cisco and Nokia extends the rich Cisco® Unified Internet Protocol (IP) Phone capabilities to Nokia Eseries smartphones over Cisco Unified Wireless Networks to offer users a seamless mobile experience in the enterprise environment and public cellular networks. The two companies also announced that they are beginning to deploy each other’s mobile solutions. Cisco is beginning to deploy Nokia Eseries smartphones for its sales organization in the United States, Europe and Asia Pacific theaters, while Nokia will begin with Cisco Unified Wireless Network in its offices, labs, and manufacturing sites.
Nokia announced today that SNAP Mobile, its connected mobile Java gaming platform, has expanded games distribution channels in the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and Taiwan. Through further cooperation with SINA Corporation, a leading online media company, Chinese consumers can access more connected games on Nokia devices and download them through local online storefronts. In Taiwan, people can experience a new connected games service through gaming portals run by Taiwanese service provider PocketNet Technology Inc. as well as through Chunghwa Telecom (CHT), the country’s largest mobile operator.
