Sprint Samsung M800 pops up

Posted by VlAD @ 09:44 pm

Today, what looks to be the official press pictures of upcoming Sprint Samsung M800 full touch screen phone, have leaked to Mobiledia.

It’s an interesting coincidence that the pictures of Samsung SPH-M800 were leaked on the same day when Samsung F490 handset was officially announced. Because with the display turned off, both phones look almost the same.

From what is known about the specs, Samsung M800 is a dumbed down CDMA version of Samsung F490.

It comes with 2 megapixel camera, CDMA 800/1900 and CDMA200 1xEV-DO connectivity, Bluetooth A2DP, USB 2.0, Sprint Navigator GPS location and microSD memory card slot.

Samsung F490 launched

Posted by VlAD @ 09:39 pm

Samsung has decided to launch it’s new 5 megapixel full touch screen phone - Samsung F490 in some strange way.

Since there were no news about this handset at CES this week, I thought they were saving the announcement for the big 3GSM show in Barcelona, next month. But I was wrong. Samsung SGH-F490 is being launched today.

Why waste the opportunity to show off the new phone at the one of the biggest trade shows of the year? And then then issue a press release, about the flagship product, that will likely be lost among the flood of news reports coming from CES?

Beats me. But here’s the official Samsung F490 press pics.
