Nokia announced that SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT has officially joined Nokia Comes With Music, a revolutionary way for people to discover and enjoy music with their Nokia device.
People who buy a Nokia Comes With Music device will have a year of access to the SONY BMG rich catalog of music. Consumers will be able to download tracks to both their mobile device and computer through the Nokia Music Store during the first twelve months that they own their Nokia device.

NFC-enabled handset offers new and easy ways to access and share content
Nokia today introduced the Nokia 6212 classic featuring integrated Near Field Communication (NFC). The 3G handset allows consumers to conveniently share content, access services and information as well as conduct payments and ticketing with one tap of the device. The Nokia 6212 classic is expected to start shipping in the third quarter of 2008 in select markets in Europe and Asia with an estimated retail price of EUR 200 before taxes and subsidies.

Motorola’s first mobile WiMAX trial in Thailand marks a new milestone
Motorola today announced that the company has achieved the first successful mobile WiMAX trial in Thailand, teaming up with United Information Highway Company Limited (UIH). The trial, demonstrating new wireless broadband experiences for users, marks the first among a series of Motorola’s mobile WiMAX engagements in Thailand and yet another milestone in the company’s global WiMAX development.
UIH acquired a WiMAX trial licence last year from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), and conducted trials in Bangkok and Phuket to assess WiMAX traffic channeling capabilities in the respective areas. Through these trials, UIH experienced the full mobility performance of Motorola’s mobile WiMAX solutions.
The Wi-Fi Alliance will hold a Regional Symposium in Chennai, India to present a Wi-Fi market update, discuss key initiatives, and review the industry’s only Wi-Fi certification programs. Professionals from Wi-Fi Alliance member companies and others involved in the Wi-Fi industry will come together for this day-long symposium and networking opportunity.
